Russell Kenney is an assistant professor with the University of Oklahoma (OU) School of Electrical and Computer Engineering. He is a faculty member of the Advanced Radar Research Center. He graduated summa cum laude from OU in 2019 with a B.S. degree in computer engineering. He also received the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical and computer engineering from OU in 2020 and 2024, respectively. During his Ph.D., he received the National Defense Science and Engineering Graduate (NDSEG) Fellowship as well as the University of Oklahoma Dolese Teaching Fellowship. He is a member of the IEEE, Eta Kappa Nu (HKN), and Tau Beta Pi.
His research interests include single- and multi-platform synthetic aperture radar (SAR), navigation and synchronization techniques for distributed radar networks, radar signal processing, Kalman filters and state estimation algorithms, passive and frequency-agile microwave components, and computational techniques for computer-assisted design of microwave components.
